Fonts for the Web

Typography is a continually frustrating topic for web designers. They must constantly balance between stale, overused fonts and unpredictable results for different viewers. This page is a demonstration of different type face solutions for the web.

Script enhanced stylesheets

The combination of Cascading Stylesheets 2.1 and DOM-compatible Javascript provides much of the power web designers look forward to in CSS 3, without having to wait for implementation by browsers. CSS+JS can also solve the majority of problems most web designers resort to Flash for, without the accessibility problems inherent in using a plugin.

Textpattern Patches and Plugins

Textpattern is open-source web publishing software written in PHP/MySQL and largely upon which Spectre CMS—the engine powering a previous version of this site—was largely built. For more information, visit http://www.textpattern.com.
