		<description>&lt;p&gt;You might want to prepare to die a little more: there have been some public indications that IE6 will be their default, not IE7.  I know &lt;em&gt;I&lt;/em&gt; died a little when I heard that.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I&#039;d also just like to say, once more, that this is not some sort of lockstep cabal of sell-outs.  A bunch of people have looked at this proposal and come to their own conclusions.  I went from one conclusion to another, actually, as I wrote in my article.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I still don&#039;t particularly love where I ended up, but I hate it less than the other possible alternatives I see.  I think most people speaking in favor of the proposal feel the same way, though I of course can&#039;t speak for anyone but myself.&lt;/p&gt;
