If you don't want to be found, go one step further, and don't get on Facebook in the first place. There are mass-befrienders all over Flickr too (my main social knowledge creation application of choice) and I just don't see the point of doing that. In fact, lately I've been removing Flickr contacts because many people's pictures are flat-out boring, and I'm not so vicarious that I want to see every detail of their boring lives.</p> <p>Maybe I'm just a jerk, too.</p> I agree totally! If you add any and every one as a "friend", then yeah, I can see how you would be freaked out by the updates. But all of the info was already available, so I like having it consolidated into a feed- after all, it's only my FRIENDS I'm checking in on, and only my FRIENDS who could potentially "stalk" me.
